A sizeable audience of students, parents, relatives and friends took in two performances of Goulter School’s “An Old Fashioned Christmas” in the Virden Aud Theatre on Dec. 7. Jill Radwanski, who returned to her hometown to become the school’s music teacher at the start of the school year, created and directed the concert.
Kindergarten to Grade 4 students sang holiday classics like Frosty the Snowman, O Christmas Tree, Carol of the Bells, Holly Jolly Christmas and more. There were also short vignettes of Christmas memories and stories shared by Virden and area residents, which gave this year’s show a distinctly local and nostalgic flavour.
