Keynote speaker on rural business opportunities

Southwest Business & Entrepreneur Expo next week

An impressive line-up of presentations will feed vision and bring practical information for those attending next week’s Southwest Business & Entrepreneur Expo.

An authority on growth strategies and business leadership, keynote speaker Cathy Snelgrove leads the line-up.

After years of experience in the corporate world of business, they became consultants, ultimately co-writing two books in addition to holding workshops, webinars and offering one-on-one coaching.

They have helped some large businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, along their way but Snelgrove says, “We found that we love working with small business owners, helping them take their business to that next level.

“I think southwestern Manitoba is such a hot bed of real interesting people that have really put their life into building their businesses and building their communities. We love to be part of the community.”

The team is pleased to be coming to Virden, alongside what Snelgrove calls an impressive group of presenters.

“I think some of the people coming out to speak are really diverse, it’s going to add to it.”

Sessions are listed on the registration forms and include:

·         Disruptive Entrepreneurship: Changing The Game Through Innovation

·         Rural Entrepreneurial Success: A Panel Discussion

And In Breakout sessions there is a choice of

·         Entrepreneurship Demystified

·         Customer Service, How To Create a Loyal Customer Base

Snelgroveis familiar with Virden business community. She and her business partner Jeff plan on attending the day-long Business Expo, at Virden’s Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

“I’m hoping with the keynote, that everyone walks away with a different vision of what is possible. We worked with literally hundreds of business owners. And sometimes it’s just getting out of your box,” says Snelgrove.

The keynote presentation is set for the noon hour of the Feb. 7 event.
