The Virden tourism information centre, located at 425, Sixth Ave South in the CPR Historic Centre is now open. The tourist booth opened Jun. 9. It will be open Fridays through Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until mid-August.
Virden Community Chamber of Commerce hired Kate-lyne Nykoliation to supply visitors with tourist information over the summer. Postcards, pins, water bottles and other merchandise are available. As well as, travel and tourism guides to assist in planning summer vacations.
The tourist booth is also equipped with a computer for public access.
