Souris vs. Virden
Friday, August 5th, 1898 at the-Turf Club’s Ground, Virden At 2p.m. Sharp
As Virden and Souris are even in the League Series of games this will be the best game of Baseball ever played in the Province.
O’Hara and Walker will be in the pitcher’s box for Souris and Orr and Miers for Virden. O’Hara is contended to be the best pitcher in Manitoba, while Orr comes to Virden as being the best Amateur pitcher in Toronto. Miers is also a promising young pitcher from Palmerston, Ont.
Crew, late of Toronto will catch the game for the Virden nine.
