Mazier and Maguire return as MPs

So many seemed so sure this election would bring change in Ottawa.

The voters in Manitoba’s Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa and to the south, Brandon-Souris ridings once again did their part to bring a Conservative Party into power, electing both incumbents, Dan Mazier and Larry Maguire as their respective representatives in Ottawa.

As Election Day turns into the day after, it’s evident there was just not enough Conservative blue in some other parts of the country to oust the federal Liberals. The NDP made some gains, and Justin Trudeau will sit for another term as Canadian Prime Minister.
