Miniota School Concert was held Dec.19, in the morning and again in the evening. The school presented “Slapshot Santa Scores Again!"

Seventy-one children took part with a great performance – both acting and the wonderful choir, directed by Tricia Lelond, with the help of all the other teachers! A good crowd attended both presentations.

Wishing you all the blessings of Peace, Love & Joy this Christmas Season and safe travels!

Princess Lodge

The month of December has been full of events for the Christmas season, especially these past few weeks. It started off with a catered turkey and ham supper with Dennis Tough, followed by the Olson band entertaining after supper on Dec. 10.

Our sympathies to the family of Gladys Myers whose funeral was Dec. 11. She was a resident for 12 years at the Lodge.

The residents were pleased with the Village Choir coming on Monday, Dec. 17, and the Sinclair Choir on Tuesday, Dec. 18, which got us into the old favourite Christmas songs and in a festive mood for the season.

On Dec. 20, the SAIL kitchen put on a scrumptious turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and a little while later Shirley Kennedy came with her clogging group followed by a light lunch. Then in the evening the Virden Alliance Church came to the Lodge with some enjoyable Christmas carolling.

We hope everyone has a safe and joyous time with family and friends, and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season, and so is every day with Him.
