Quite a few of the residents attended the Seniors’ Tea, hosted by the Royal Purple, in the afternoon on Wednesday, Jun. 7 at Sacred Heart.
The Village Choir entertained the residents in the lounge on Thursday, Jun. 8, with their inspirational hymns; followed by a light lunch.
Joyce Heaman attended Marilyn Pigg’s (nee Blakeman) graveside funeral on Saturday, June 17, and pictures and luncheon at the Legion. On Sunday, Jun. 18, Joyce attended Wallace Church service and baptisms.
Leona and John McKie of Brookdale visited with Ethel Bowles and Donna Everett last Sunday.
The residents enjoyed the inspirational hymns last Tuesday evening by the Sinclair Choir.
Last Wednesday evening, Art Maxwell and friends entertained the residents with their golden oldies music after which a light lunch was served.

Congratulations to Justin Hunkin and Brooklyn Masson of Oak Lake on the birth of their son Beckham Michael. Beckham was born Jun. 11 in Brandon. Congratulations to grandparents Scott Hunkin and Sharon Ellerington as well as great grandma Betty Ann Ellerington.

Congratulations to Luke and Courtney Muir on the birth of Kinsley Irene Winn, who was born on her Mom’s birthday Jun. 7 in Brandon. Excited brother Jake and sister Gracie were happy to welcome her into the family. Get well wishes to Betty Ann Ellerington, who is back in Hamiota Hospital following surgery in Winnipeg. Daughters Karen and Sharon spent time in Winnipeg with Betty Ann, and are now back in Miniota.

A lovely bridal shower was held in the Miniota Hall on Jun. 17 to honour Jodie Hodgins bride elect of Owen Thomas of Birtle. Their wedding will take place at their home on Sept. 23, 2017. Many friends and relatives joined the happy couple at their wedding social on Jun. 17 in Birtle.
