Kenton

By Paulette Wiens

The Kenton and Area Lions Club held their supper meeting at Brierwood Creek Cafe & Grill recently. Attending the meeting were the District Governor Gareth Boys and his wife Linda. He told us about his charity of interest which is Childhood Cancer. The Kenton Club gave him and his wife pins from the club and a cheque for the charity. He presented service pins to several of the Lions members.

We showed our appreciation to Lisa Hemrica, owner of the Café, and her helper Cheryl Hill for the delicious meal. There was a time of fellowship before and after the supper.

Congratulations from the community to Jane Van den Hoek and Dustin Corney who were married on June 22.
