Royal Purple swings back into action

Royal Purple was just one more group that didn't meet due to pandemic guidelines, but now they're back.
Royal Purple
Royal purple turned 60 in 2018. President Shirley Gibson and Canadian president Kelly Chirstman cut the cake for that celebration.

After 10 months we were finally able to meet again. It was nice to finally be together. In May the members voted via email on new officers and Maxine Chacun will now be our new President.

A request from Virden Junior High for assistance in purchasing a Phonic Sound Field Amplifier was presented by Linda White, our Charities Chairman. We agreed to donate funds toward this purchase.

Finance Chairman, Sharon Sawyer presented the 2021-2022 budget. For fundraising projects, we will be selling Mom’s Pantry products in October as well as Grey Cup Tickets in November.

Now that the Oil Caps are back on the ice, we will be selling 50-50 tickets at some of the games.

Since out last meeting in October, we have lost two members, Ruth Dunning and Susan McEwen. You will be missed ladies. We agreed to donate to the Canadian Royal Purple Book of Memories in their names.

We hope we will be able to continue our monthly meetings.
