Bruce Reimer and The White Stone Band performs

Along with Prairie Joe

A nearly full house at the Aud Theatre on Apr. 22, was entertained by a variety of country gospel songs. A wide range of people from children to seniors attended the concert, and the entertainment was free to those over 80 years old or under 15 years of age.

The Prairie Joe band of Oak Lake opened for Bruce Reimer and The White Stone Band. They captivated the audience with lively and fun, toe-tapping country music.

Reimer and The White Stone Band performed a number of songs from country gospel, to a few rock and roll songs. Reimer’s deep and moving voice filled the Aud, inspiring and touching all those in attendance.

Reimer talked about performing at the Aud nearly 40 years ago and how beautiful the building is.

He referenced The Book of Revelation, Chapter two 2:17, as to where “The White Stone Band” got its name. He spoke of receiving a white stone with a person’s true name on it, which only God knows. He explained that The White Stone Band name encompasses several generations, and who and why we are the people we are.

Reimer dedicated the song “Promise of Love” to his parents who have been married for an amazing 65 years.

He told the audience that the song “Hard Work and Love” was written as a tribute, of what he believes his grandfather (on his mother’s side) would have said to him; even though Reimer had ever met him. Reimer added, “It is important for families to keep passing their stories down through the generations.”
