Mother – daughter duo, with their powerful and passionate singing, engaged a crowd of viewers on Thursday evening, Jul. 20 at Victoria Park in Virden.
Tanya Martin was born and raised in Reston, MB, where she still calls home. She has been singing since she was two years old. Her daughter, Dakota Renwrick has been singing since she could speak.
Martin sang with the Canada Youth Choir when she was younger. She also sang with a band in Winnipeg called “Penny Arcade”. Martin is most recognized for her singing performance on Canadian Idol about 10-12 years ago.
Today, she says she loves to sing anywhere and everywhere. Martin often sings at the Reston Music In The Park, and at the Elkhorn care home.
