Oak Lake Island Resort busy this summer

Oak Lake Island Resort campground will be a busy place this summer with many upcoming events. On Saturday afternoon, Jul. 8 the campground will host a Reptile Exhibit from Tag ‘Em Entertainment out of Brandon.

On Saturday afternoon, Jul. 8 the campground will host a Reptile Exhibit from Tag ‘Em Entertainment out of Brandon. The reptile exhibit will be an interactive and learning experience about reptiles such as: lizards, an assortment of large and small snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, and much more. It will be located next to the bandstand.

A “Foam Party” will happen on the afternoon of Jul. 29, in the open area next to the pool in the campground.

  On Aug. 5, in the afternoon, the campground will have “Shannon’s Little Funny Farm” a petting zoo located in the greenspace next to the campground pool. On Aug. 12 there will be an inflatable obstacle course and laser tag for all to enjoy during the afternoon. A giant slide will be available on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Oak Lake Island Resort campground after 1:00 p.m.

For the early-risers, Kim Houston will be holding yoga classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings throughout July and August. “Good Morning Yoga” will be held early morning at the beach. “Circuit Training, will be held on the green space at Oak Lake Island Resort campground, and “Aquafit” for registered campers only, will be held at 8:00 a.m. at the campground pool.

Weekly, the resort has a brunch at Riels Restaurant at the golf course on Sundays from. Tuesday nights are Mens’ Night at the golf course clubhouse; Wednesday nights are Ladie’s Night, both are nine holes ride and play for $25. Every Thursday night at Riels Restaurant is “Wing Night’, and the Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday morning. For more details of these events, check at the campground office.
