Bare Naked Essentials By Danielle products, sold at Arts Mosaic in Virden will be changing its name to “Back To The Sol Roots Cosmetics”.

Danielle Sunley has been creating natural beauty products since the spring of 2014.

“It’s been a lot of researching, more researching, and even more researching,” says Sunley. Her research has helped her to find ingredients that are safe for children, pregnant women, and even dogs. For example, “Bugger Off” bug spray created by Sunley is safe for children over two years old and for dogs.

Sunley made her first soaps as Christmas gifts for family and friends, and sold the soaps at local farmer’s markets. She kept adding new products like creams, lip balms, and requests from customers throughout the years.

Bare Naked Essentials By Danielle, soon to be “Back To The Sol Roots Cosmetics”, currently boasts over 50 beauty products, including 17 different soaps. Sunley says the products are always changing, and new ones are being added.

Some of the product ingredients come from Sunley’s garden at home. Others she gets from a website which allows her to choose what country to order the  ingredients from. Sunley’s extensive researching has shown her that certain plants grow better in particular countries, which result in a superior finished product.

Sunley’s “Miracle Cream” is a favourite of her customers. It has many uses, from poison ivy, dry chap skin, to making age spots disappear. The cream was created as a natural equivalent to the over-the-counter polysporin cream.

A customer of Sunley’s suffered from a skin problem on her face. Sunley says the customer’s doctor prescribed a $40 cream that never did work. The customer tried the “Miracle Cream” and found results; she has been using it faithfully for over four years now.

Sunley’s favourite product, by far, is the new deodorant she developed this year. “I love the smell of it, and it lasts,” says Sunley, “you only need to apply it once a day.” She adds that the deodorant doesn’t clog skin pores, and is made with antibacterial ingredients which prevent odour.

Danielle Sunley has been selling her cosmetic products at Dawson Trail Days in the Town of Ste Anne, MB.
