Husband, father and WW2 veteran, Les Downing's 100th birthday came off without a hitch as dozens of cars passed by in a Drive-Through, paying honour to Sir Les Downing.
Political dignitaries, friends, family including Downing’s sister, Legion comrades, the RCMP, Wallace District Fire Department and even a school bus full of students paraded by honking and waving.
Mr. Downing didn’t miss a beat, waving back, acknowledging his well-wishers.
