Car buffs found something to appreciate at the Oak Lake Beach show and shine on Sunday, Aug. 29.
This was the show at the main beach that featured a large run of beautiful and unique vehicles, some in original condition, others were shined up restorations from the 20th century. Some highly modified rebuilds were on display, motorcycles, and a case tractor was even in the line-up.
The Road Rebels from Brandon cruised to this Oak Lake Beach event - the 1st Annual Albert Drotar Classic Car Show & Shine. Named in his honour, Albert Drotar was a dedicated car enthusiast who helped organize the first Oak Lake car show many years ago. He passed away in June 2021.
A total of 74 vehicles lined up on a sunny and warm afternoon at the beach.
In conjunction with the show & shine, there was a pie auction, 50/50 draw, a Chinese auction and a barbecue. The money raised will be used to install aeration in Oak Lake.
