Archery Manitoba and the Fort La Bosse Wildlife Association are hosting the 2022 Manitoba 3D Provincial Open Championships on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2022 at Eternal Springs, near Virden.

Here you will see some of the best archers in Manitoba.

Female archer April Willis of Neepawa from Archery Manitoba will be shooting at Eternal Springs. She is scheduled to fly to the World Archery competition in Italy for Team Canada just days later.

Local organizer Dale Chadney says, “We are focusing on youth and trying to build this sport for youth in our area. There are a few local competitive shooters as well as some good talent from the surrounding areas: Birtle, Roblin, Oak Lake, Hamiota and Brandon.  We will even have one of our very competitive shooters here who is also an Oil Cap.”

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and culminates with a medal ceremony.

Chadney expects there will be a number of Saskatchewan shooters attending. Out of province guests are welcome, but must be Archery Manitoba members to participate in championship ranking (medal standings).

Primitive camping is available and a barbecue lunch will be sold onsite.

Novelty Shot Fundraiser Events should be fun, and there’s over $400 in door prizes to win.

Chadney is excited to host this provincial event at what he calls, “our hidden jewel, Eternal Springs.”
