4H members speak out

Young people speaking their mind in the ongoing 4H competition. Top placed speeches will be presented in Brandon on March 18.

Pipestone 4H Beef club hosted the Virden Zone Communications competition on Monday, Feb. 27. Despite the poor road conditions, there was a great turnout and the club would like to thank the Pipestone Lions Club for use of the Hall and the Pipestone Drop-In Center.

Competitors from six clubs, Pipestone Beef Club, Oak Lake Beef Club, Lenore Beef Club, Archie Beef Club, Archie Horse Club and Virden Variety Club.

Judges for the evening were Carla Slimmon, Val Forsyth, Kathy Welsh, Andrew Brereton-Waller, Regan Brereton-Waller, Kim Mackenzie, Carrie Tapp and April Willis

In each category the top two will go on to the Brandon area communications competition Mar. 18.
