There are no-go places when your pockets are loaded with contraband. The courthouse would be one of those places.
On Dec. 2, 2022, at approximately 9:45 am, RCMP responded to a call of a male in possession of drugs and a knife at the Provincial Court Office, on Tupper Street North, in Portage la Prairie.
A man had attended the courthouse and was subsequently searched by Sheriff’s. He was found to be in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, a knife and a quantity of cash.
RCMP attended and placed Frederick Roulette, 30, under arrest. He has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Carrying a Weapon to a Public Meeting
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Fail to Comply x2
He was remanded into custody.
