Beautiful ponies and cute kids get dolled up for costume classes

The Manitoba Welsh Pony and Cob association Virden show is a family affair!

The Manitoba Welsh Pony and Cob Association's annual two-day show was held in Virden under sunny skies. On Saturday, in the early part of the day line classes were held. After lunch, the show attracted a large number of entries into the children’s costume classes: Fancy and Comic. Each entry received a first-place ribbon and $25. An adult class followed later in the day.

Some adults got into the spirit with costumes as well. All part of the fun classes.

The show numbers were down a little this year, but enthusiasm was running high with many grandparents getting involved along with their families! Kenton's Donna Hunter was on hand to enjoy the show and her daughter Julie had things well in hand, along with other volunteers, ensuring the show ran smoothly.

Judge Vicki Cork from Ontario had her work cut out for her with such well-turned-out Welsh ponies over the two-day show.
