Chloe Williment raises funds for Ukraine

This Oak Lake girl is working hard to Stand With Ukraine

A young entrepreneur, 12-year-old Chloe Williment from Oak Lake, spent her spring break raising money to help those impacted by the war in Ukraine. She has a small business called Chloe’s Creations and has been taking orders for her “Stand with Ukraine” bracelet fundraiser.

She started making bracelets for her friends and selling them as her own business earlier this school year. When she started seeing more and more about the war in Ukraine, she felt like she had to do something. It was actually her dad who had mentioned that maybe she could make some yellow and blue bracelets for Ukraine. Chloe loved the idea and her fundraiser was born!

According to Chloe, “this fundraiser is important because whatever money I raise will go to help all the families in need. Their houses have been bombed, kids can’t go to school…it’s sad and I want to do whatever I can to help.”

As of this moment, she has raised $620 for her cause. Initially, her goal was to raise $500. Now it’s $1000. Chloe is still researching organizations to send the money to, but I believe she is leaning towards the Red Cross.

Her bracelets have even been sent to Ottawa and California!

Every dollar she makes will be donated as her mother, Kim, has purchased the supplies and donated them to her cause.
