Concrete fun ahead for Virden skaters

Virden’s Skate Park is taking shape as each day goes by

Virden’s Skate Park is taking shape as each day goes by. Crew members of Beaver Concrete say this extensive skateboard venue is a superior model for a town, larger than many they have seen or installed in small centres. They should know. Skatepark installation is what this world class installation company does. Owned by a Canadian who resides in Sweden, their experience is broad and deep.

Luke Jouppi is founder and owner of Beaver Concrete. He started in the industry while attending university where he ran a city owned skatepark in Ottawa for three years. Jouppi graduated (Bachelor of Industrial Design, B.I.D. 2001) and began to design skateparks with teams in U.S.A., Canada and Australia.

He moved into the construction side of the industry in 2005 and quickly worked his way up to foreman/ project manager position.

Jouppi started Beaver Concrete in 2011 and, with a move to Sweden, he established it as a corporation there in 2012.

Since then, he brought Beaver Concrete knowhow back to Canada “to contribute a new approach within the skateboard park industry,” according to www.beaverconcrete.se. Beaver Concrete includes a building team with Canadian and Swedish talent.
