Hamiota business joins Bushel Plus for greater yields

The Bushel Plus System was initially developed as a standalone product but the company has since expanded.

Every farmer knows the feeling. It’s late, it’s dark, the weather is threatening, and expenses are high. It seems to be taking forever for the combine hopper to fill. I wonder how much grain I’m throwing over. How is my concave setting? My sieves? My fan? Bushel Plus can help.

Headquartered in Brandon, Man., Bushel Plus distributes products in Canada, U.S., Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and South America. The Bushel Plus Harvest Loss Drop Pan System is designed to measure and reduce harvest loss by helping farmers better calibrate their combines. Over the years, the system has grown in popularity, with growers stating the product maximizes efficiency and minimizes combine losses during harvest. The Bushel Plus System was initially developed as a standalone product but the company has since expanded into the Bushel Plus App, Grain Shaker Boxes, and the Bushel Plus mini combine.

Bushel Plus has recently acquired MAD Concaves, a farmer-founded company in Hamiota, Man., that develops and manufactures custom concaves to reduce rotor loss and improve quality of harvested grain. They are high quality products that increase harvest efficiency and will be an important complement to Bushel Plus’s current product line up. Further, the founders of MAD Concaves, will be joining the Bushel Plus team; this was an important point for both companies for future development and to keep providing high quality customer service.

History of Bushel Plus Bushel Plus was founded by Marcel Kringe in Brandon in 2016. Today, Bushel Plus sells its drop pan in more than 30 countries. Bushel Plus has created partnerships with dealers and combine manufacturers who are using Bushel Plus technology in their research and development efforts to develop new combines.

In addition to the Bushel Plus Harvest Loss System and concaves, the Bushel Plus team offers combine clinics to walk operators through the process for proper combine setup. Bushel Plus has also introduced its Bushel Plus App designed to help farmers calculate harvest loss and better calibrate their combines.

Bushel Plus has established itself as a top contender in the agriculture industry, but its top priority is to support farmers and increase their profitability.
