Some significant trophies came from the 2022 whitetail harvest.

A member of the Hooper’s Lake Buck Night committee, Jackie Mathison provided scores for the night and noted that volunteers made the event a success once again.

SCORES:

1st Typical: Blaine Lee 161

2nd Typical: Derek Donald 154 2/8

1st Non-Typical: Mike Schoonbart 169 1/8

2nd Non-Typical: Kevin Marchand 150

Ugly: Brittany Asselstine 79

1st Junior Typical: Jaxon Lelond 150 6/8

2nd Junior Typical: Keaston Conley 144 2/8

Junior Non-Typical: Ryder McNabb 140 6/8

1st Ladies Typical: Carly Wieler 145 4/8

2nd Ladies Typical: Samantha Lee 139 4/8

1st Muley: Derek Lane 147 7/8

2nd Muley: Derek Donald 114

Winner of Flintlock Muzzle Loader: Kevin Marchand

Blaine Lee’s score at 161 inches rates well when compared with the Boone and Crockett Club's (B&C) three-year awards book, where the minimum entry score is 160 (typical); 185 (non-typical).

As a point of interest, to be included in B&C all-time records book, a typical whitetail will need a final score totalling 170 or more inches; 195 inches for non-typical.

Mathison said, “All proceeds from this event help support improvements and initiatives of Hooper's Lake and surrounding recreational and camping area. See you next year!”
