The Farmers’ Market has thrived through a trying spring and summer, thanks to organizer Noni Rolston, plucky vendors willing to do business despite COVID-19 added complications, and the steady stream of customers who love the products offered at Virden’s Friday morning market.
The market is different every week, although some regulars are always there, such as Faye Tapp’s baking. She provides probably the largest array of baked products to be found anywhere.
Another regular is Robert Heath with honey and top quality, unique hand-tooled items such as obelisks and lawn furniture. The Virden’s museum is always represented and on and on.
Really, there’s too many amazing vendors to talk about them all. Come and see for yourself. The market is a friendly place, even with masks and a one-way directional flow. You can even order ahead and pick up your items on the side of the market facing the CPR Historic Centre.
The market winds up in just a few weeks.
