MurCe Aerial Services and is the business of Sonny and Diane Black, based in Miniota. Sonny says, “Our business name came from combining the names of our two precious dogs – Murdoch and Cedar – MurCe.”
MurCe Aerial provides a vast array of services from personal projects (weddings, portraits, family events, etc.) to serving business and industry through professional photography and videography, “both hand held and aerial, audio recording and media design services.” The business also provides aerial mapping, and 3D modeling from the air.
Photography has been a lifelong interest for Sonny, “I started photography as a child. Our business started with a passion for creating media, and seeing a need for smaller businesses and individuals to have access to photography and videography at a lower cost than most larger production companies can provide.”
Photographic skills have been developed over time. “Practice, practice, practice!” However, there are many hoops to jump through for aerial photography. “We have spent many hours to make sure we are properly licensed, insured and follow all of the regulations required for drone operations.”
A favourite piece of equipment he says, “our current full frame camera.”

As far as production, “We outsource Canadian-based large format prints in canvas, wood, metal and framed prints. Secure, digital password protected albums are provided to clients. Any output required are available.”
