Each summer Museum Heritage Days is a fundraiser and a perfect opportunity for local people to take in this fascinating Virden feature.

There were a few antique items on a sale table and inside the museum, the student attendants dressed in period costume guided tours including many children around the large, well kept and fully furnished pioneer home featuring the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Tallia Penner, one of the museum’s summer staff re-enacts a lady of a century ago, as she guides a group through the museum.

An ordinary barbecue takes on elegance under the white tent at Virden Pioneer Home Museum Day, with an attendant in period dress.
