Unusually warm weather in early April meant farmers were building bins, checking over spring equipment and some were even out on the land harrowing and such. Next came a dump of snow that melted and then another skiff of snow.

Now, at the end of April, bee keepers and grain and livestock farmers are going full bore.

The sandy loam near Rivers, Arrow River/Miniota and in the Virden area is usually among some of the earliest seeded in Manitoba.
