Within the last week, Virden Health Services once again began providing 24/7 emergency room service.
According to information from Prairie Mountain Health (PMH), Virden has a new doctor who has commenced practice in Virden as of May 18.
“Dr. Neville Ratwatte, who was practicing in Roblin, has now joined the physician complement in Virden which presently allows for a sustainable rotation for full-time Emergency
Room on-call coverage.
“We continue to actively recruit for several physician vacancies in Prairie Mountain Health, including Melita. We are going through periods of temporary suspension of ER services in
Melita this month, and will again for periods in June,” says Blaine Kraushaasr, communications officer on behalf of PMH, CEO Penny Gilson.
