Oak Lake’s Hunter Wallace has committed to play hockey and study at Merrimack College.

North Andover, Mass. will be Hunter's future school.

The North Andover, Mass. school's men’s hockey team plays at the NCAA Division I level, the highest in the United States. The 19-year-old son of Tod and Penny Wallace currently plays for the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The 5-foot-7, 165-pound forward has 15 goals and 28 points in 21 games this season. An injury has kept him out of action since Nov. 11. Last year Wallace helped the Bandits win the national Centennial Cup championship as well as an AJHL title. Wallace had previously committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
