On Apr. 11 Murray Wooldridge presented a cheque in the amount of $14,134 to Diana Rasmussen, Executive Director/Client Services Coordinator, and Angela Hallam, Client Services Coordinator, for the ALS Society of Manitoba at the Legion in Virden.
“On Mar. 11 my colleague and I attended a wonderful event in Virden in honour of Murray Wooldridge,” said Rasmussen, of ALS Society of Manitoba, “The event was a Poker Derby fundraiser and the tournament was full of fun and excitement. On the other side of closed doors there was another buzz, with tables of friends visiting with Murray and his family, as well as 50/50 tables, silent auction, and more.”
Rasmussen added that here was a lot of laughing, some crying, but a genuine feel of making the event a hope filled night. She said, “Murray had expectations of how much money he wanted to raise for ALS Manitoba and I’m sure he exceeded his own expectations!”
Rasmussen, on behalf of the ALS Society of Manitoba, recognizes and greatly appreciates all of the volunteers, family, and community for making this a wonderful and memorable occasion.
