Police find stolen vehicles

And deal with a break in

During the week of July 25 to July 31 Westman RCMP dealt with 58 police occurrences, including the following dispatches:
 
July 25 – to an abandoned residence in the RM of Pipestone for a report of a break and enter. The front door and a window were both damaged. A fence post was also knocked down. Anyone with any information pertaining to this crime is encouraged to contact the Virden RCMP. An anonymous tip can also be submitted via Crime Stoppers.
 
July 25 – to the Virden Hospital for a report of a disturbance. A 28-year-old male was subsequently transported to the Brandon Hospital under the authority of an involuntary assessment issued by the doctor.
 
July 26 – to a single vehicle collision on Highway 83 in the RM of Two Boarders. The vehicle’s driver appeared to be in distress and was subsequently transported to the hospital for a mental health assessment. The investigation is ongoing.
 
July 28 – to Kenton for a report of a bus theft. The bus was recovered in Virden on the 30th of July.
 
ALSO: July 30 – RCMP received two reports of fuel thefts from the Sioux Valley Petro.
 
July 31 – RCMP received a report of a stolen 1985 Chevrolet G20 van from the RM of Wallace-Woodworth. The vehicle was recovered by the Headingly/Stonewall RCMP on Aug. 3. A 26-year-old male has been arrested for possession of stolen property obtained by crime.
 
Westman RCMP also responded to four other traffic collisions. Nine traffic enforcement actions were undertaken during this reporting period.
