On December 7, 2021, at approximately 4:50 pm, Ste. Rose du Lac responded to a structure fire at an abandoned church in the RM of Alonso.
RCMP along with the Rorketon Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services attended and the church was fully engulfed with flames. It’s believed that no one was inside at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been notified.
