Travelers heading north to Miniota and beyond via Highway 83 will find their progress slowed by major road construction this fall. From the junction of the Trans Canada and Hwy 83 north for 18 kms, surface reconstruction is underway. This capital infrastructure project was supposed to begin in the fall of 2020 and to be completed in the summer of 2022. On Monday, Oct. 18, pavement is still in place but traffic is being brought a single lane in places as the road is widened.
