Two vehicle crash could have been much worse

Red lights don't stop accidents sometimes

An eyewitness to an accident at the junction of King St. and the Trans Canada Hwy who called the 911 emergency line says, “A shout out to our emergency responders: firefighters, police, and ambulance… they were there within seven minutes of the beginning of my call to 911. It was incredible to watch them do their job so well.”

The accident occurred Sunday, Aug. 7, around 3 p.m. The witness said a westbound vehicle ran the red light and hit a vehicle attempting to cross the Trans Canada, flipping it several times.

It appeared there were no serious injuries, but the crash stands as a reminder to check before entering intersections, even if the light is green for you.
