The 2018 Veterans and First Responders Banquet will be held Sat. April 14 in the Virden Legion Hall on Wellington Street West.
This yearly event is sponsored by the Virden Legion as a way of saying thank you to veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, first responders of Station One of Wallace District Fire Department, members of the Virden Detachment of the RCMP and the Virden Ambulance Station.
All Veterans and First Responders from Elkhorn, Reston, McAuley, Miniota, Hamiota, Kenton, Lenore, Oak Lake, and, of course, Virden, are invited to come with an escort if they so wish at no cost.
You do not need to be a member of the Royal Canadian Legion to attend.
The Order of Dress for the banquet is uniforms, legion attire, business or western suits, or upper casuals.
Entertainment will be provided by Ross Mathison of Hamiota. The meal is by the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
