Last Saturday’s household hazardous waste collection put local volunteers to work. Thanks to the Virden Lions Club, 74 vehicles were unloaded under the roof of Virden Farmers’ Market sales site on Sixth Ave. Materials such as paint, light bulbs and a variety of household chemicals were sent to the Winnipeg recycler, Miller Environmental Corporation.
