Miniota By Linda Clark

One morning during the Christmas season the local Arrow River coffee group arrived to find that a “Secret Santa” had delivered a Christmas box of goodies with cans of coffee, whitener and sugar. A thoughtful gift to keep this group going for quite awhile.

Liz Hargrave and her children Hudson, Alec, Savannah and Isabelle from Walsh, Alta. visited with her parents Edward and Beth Lelond and other family members.

Joan Taylor and Jacquie Scantlebury, Calgary, Alta. visited over the holidays with Taylor family members, and Jacquie also visited with the Scantlebury’s at Birtle.

Mae Watters spent Christmas with her daughter Linda and Allan Wotton and their family at Birtle.

Kevin and Julie Halipchuk, Aidan, Reese and Carley, Ottawa; and Daryl and Mel Clark, Ituna, Sask. and Ella and Cauy Clark of Saskatoon spent Christmas with Linda Clark and family. Scott and Donna Gammack, Garson, Man.; Harold Reid, Brandon and his sons Chris from Columbia and Mike from B.C. visited for Christmas.

Sympathy is extended to Ralph and Linda Heaman on the death of Ralph’s brother Henry Heaman of Hargrave.

Word has been received of the death of Jean Sutherland Paton, Winnipeg. Jean was the only daughter of Will and Marion Sutherland and raised north of Arrow River with her brothers Jim, Bill and John. Sympathy is extended to her long time school chum Mae Watters and the many Sutherland cousins.

2023 has arrived. A Facebook quote: “Instead of finishing the year strong, why don’t we finish the year soft? Why don’t we finish the year restful and grateful for making it through yet another crazy cycle on earth?”  Happy New Year to all our readers!
