Drew Simpson, 25, of Virden won second place in his first powerlifting competition. The Westman Strength Classic was held Apr. 22 at CFB Shilo. Simpson won second in the Men’s Open 120kg Plus category.

The Oil Caps Training Camp was held from Apr. 21 – 23 at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place arena. Head scout, Chad Leslie, and his scouting staff assembled 52, (2002 born) Bantam players from all over Manitoba to attend the training camp.
