Man charged with second-degree murder in fatal Winnipeg shooting: police

WINNIPEG — Police in Winnipeg say they have charged a 28-year-old man in a fatal shooting last week.

Officers responding to a call last Monday found the victim, who was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The victim, who has been identified as 24-year-old Vincent Ross, later died of his injuries.

Police say they issued a Canada-wide warrant and arrested a man in Winnipeg on Sunday.

They say he has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.

Investigators say the victim was shot at a multi-unit residence after what police believe was a dispute with the suspect.
