They may have worn shorts and sneakers under their graduation gowns that morning.
But by evening, Virden Collegiate's graduating youth had morphed into smartly dressed grown-ups in dapper suits and classy gowns.
Some walked with other graduates. Some with escorts from outside VCI. All held their carefully coiffed heads high and proud... and maybe felt a little unnerved that this was the last time they'd all be together in one place for a long time.
Then they danced with their parents to Bryan Adams' Heaven and slowly dispersed. Leaving behind good times, great friends and memorable accomplishments. And looking ahead to even more.
