Last year's craft sale was a hit with shoppers.

With 60 vendor tables booked, the Christmas craft & trade sale, A Splash of Christmas may just be the place to find something for those hard to buy for people on your gift list.

The sale is organized by Virden Spray Park committee. One of the organizers, Tracy Landels says there is a good mix of home crafted items and home based businesses throughout the 60 tables. Baking, sewing, woodworking, painting, children’s items – these and more will be available Nov. 24, in Sunrise Banquet Hall of Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

If it’s goodies for a Christmas party you are in need of, the Spray Park committee will also have a Dainties table.

Photos with Santa will be available between 11:00 and 1:00 p.m. that Saturday. For a small fee, photographer Haley Stevenson will capture the moment - Santa and Mrs. Claus with children of all ages at the photography booth. Half of the photo proceeds go to support the spray park project.

Throughout the month of November, the Spray Park committee is selling their Cash Calendars. These will be available at the craft sale as well. The calendar gets you in on a daily cash draw in December.

Proceeds from the craft table rentals and the dainties table also go to the Virden Spray Park project.

Treasurer Tracy Landels hopes that fundraisers throughout this Christmas season will push the Spray Park bank account over $150,000. They are expecting the water park project to cost over $350,000. The committee will be applying for grants again in 2019, but the more they are able to raise locally, the easier it is to get grants.

The committee is hoping to be able to launch the Spray Park project in 2019.
