A surprise in Brandon-Souris Constituency

Two of the major parties so far unrepresented

With the federal election just one month away, you’d expect candidates from all the parties, especially the major ones, to be busy reaching out to voters given the limited time available.

But in Brandon-Souris as of Sept. 18, neither the Liberals nor the NDP had nominated a candidate to run in the riding that spans a large area from the Saskatchewan border in the west to Pilot Mound in the east, and from the US border to a line that roughly follows the Trans Canada Highway.

Advance voting is available for four days over the Thanksgiving long weekend, Oct. 11 to 14.
