Artist of the month: Ken Marshall

Featured at CPR Historic Centre art gallery

Ken Marshall has mounted a solo exhibition of his artwork at the Arts Mosaic gallery in Virden for the month of March.

He is well-known in Virden as a chiropractor, artist, luthier, potter and musician.

He created the full-sized stand-up bass that was used several years ago in Virden Chorale’s musical, Crazy For You, the main prop in one scene. He currently plays a handmade mandolin, also his own work.

After living in the deep south of Georgia and Canada’s West Coast, Dr. Marshall returned to his prairie roots in the late 90s. His practice and studio are in Virden.

His work is on display at the CPR Historic Centre Gallery until March 27.
