Arts Mosaic, formerly Virden Community Arts Council, has been enriching Virden and nearby communities for four decades – 2021 marks their 40thanniversary.

To celebrate they have come up with an artistic idea. The arts organization has put together four subscription boxes. “These are thoughtfully curated and filled with products made by artists in SW Manitoba,” says information on Arts Mosaic’s Website.

The first boxes went on sale in March and there are still some available. Throughout June, September and December new boxes are added.

Christa Milne, Arts Mosaic coordinator says that with only 25 boxes available in each round, you need to shop early.

Along with supporting Arts Mosaic, you will be supporting local artists and craftspeople.

March Subscription Box contributors include: Robert Heath, Lori Ritchie, Amanda Blanchette, Kim Houston, Prairie Mommas, Rhonda Walker, Joanna Watt, Janelle Desrochers, Pappel Laser Design and The Sweet Spot Bakery

And just in case you want to do more and receive a bonus, all four boxes can be purchased now, and there’s a 10 per cent discount attached to that offer.

Arts Mosaic’s gallery is open to the public and this month Festival Art from artists of all ages is on display.

Next month you will find Virden Art Club pieces hanging in the gallery.

Milne says the gift shop portion is undergoing renovation. Expect a brand new look and new vendors there in the future.
