“Best night of my life!”

Virden student, artist, hockey player in spotlight

Seth Eady, 10, said last Friday was the best night of his life because the Oil Caps wore the jersey he designed. The Virden Junior High student said, “I couldn’t believe they had one made for me, with my name and number on it, too.”

He got to drop the ceremonial puck at the Jan. 18 game with Portage Terrier Sam Huston (l) and Virden Oil Cap Ben Dalke.

The jerseys were later auctioned off with bidding going as high as $350 for one jersey. Funds raised go towards the hockey club.

Four other VJH students were runners up in the jersey design contest: Natalie Draper, Hannah Tinant, Lily Flannery and Chey Nykoliation.
