Calls to Sioux Valley; restaurant in Melita and COVID compliance

During the week of Oct. 5 – 11, Westman RCMP dealt with 60 police activities.

Oct. 5 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of no contact order being breached. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful, a warrant for arrest has been issued.

Oct. 6 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a suicide attempt. A 31-year-old male was transported to the hospital by ambulance to receive treatment.

Oct. 7 - RCMP were dispatched to Oak Lake Beach for a report of a 49-year-old female being forcibly confined by an acquaintance. Police spoke to the female who was not in any distress. She said she was there on her own free will.

Oct. 9 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a suicide attempt. The individual was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Oct. 10 - RCMP were dispatched to the Chicken Chef in Melita for a report of vandalism. Siding on the building was ripped off. Anyone with information about this is encouraged to contact the Melita detachment.

Oct. 11 - RCMP were dispatched to Oak Lake for a report of a trailer theft. The matter is still under investigation.

A total of three COVID compliance checks, and 25 traffic enforcement actions were undertaken during this reporting period.
