Fire made fast work of this sedan last Friday afternoon, Aug. 31.
Black smoke billowed from the car, which was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived at the location about 1 km east of Virden on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Wallace District Fire Chief Brad Yochim says it appears the fire started in the trunk area, but no cause has been identified.
Yochim says the department received no emergency calls over the Labour Day long weekend.
