Chamber re-starts with survey

How do you get someone’s attention? Ask them for their opinion. That is what Virden Community Chamber of Commerce is doing as it comes out of hibernation. Once an active organization, the Chamber has been quiet for several years now.

How do you get someone’s attention? Ask them for their opinion. That is what Virden Community Chamber of Commerce is doing as it comes out of hibernation.

Once an active organization, the Chamber has been quiet for several years now. The last event was in late April, 2019, when Virden Chamber hosted Manitoba Chambers of Commerce President Chuck Davidson and MP Larry Maguire as speakers.

Now, however, we are told that “the Virden Chamber is focusing on reorganizing and re-establishing after COVID, and seeking input from community members and businesses.” In light of that, people are invited to complete a short survey.

For the executive, Greg Gill, GM of the Valleyview Coop says, “If you have already received an invitation and responded, thank you for participating. Please feel free to share this with your team members, community members, and businesses.”

In 2020, the Empire-Advance learned the Chamber felt the need to develop a strategic plan to guide the board, which would include a survey.

With the onset of COVID-19 that progress was delayed. But now, the survey is out: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/329V7K2
