The Virden & District Swimming Pool, located at 900 - 5th Ave, with the entrance in Curling Rink parking lot, is open from June to the end of August.
The pool has a children's area with a toddler lions slide, and a large double loop waterside. Swimming lessons, lap swim, aqua fit classes, public swim and private rentals are available throughout the season.
July and August public swim hours are 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and the Evening Public Swim is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Weekend public swimming is from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at noon and again at 8:30 p.m. are aqua fit lessons.
Staff for the 2017 season include: instructors and lifeguards Lauren Linski, Megan Nahachewsky, Taylor Nahachewsky, Jessica McBride, Austin Chandler, Amy Chandler, and Aevry Hayward. Additional lifeguards are: Matt Cochrone, Brooks Freeman, Chloe Hayward, and Hannah McBride.
