The Cougars hosted the Winnipeg Wild in Killarney in a pair of games Saturday and Sunday. The Wild proved to be too much for the Cougars as they scored a pair of goals in all six periods in Killarney.

The Wild opened the scoring in the first period only to have Cody Gudnason hook up with Hunter Wallace and Braeden Lewis to even the score. The Wild regained the lead before the period ended.

Second period saw the Wild score a pair for a 4-1 lead before Luke Robson and Nolan Wickham hooked up on a short hand marker.

The third saw the Wild score another two goals. Colten Miller scored a power play marker from Wallace and Wickham.

The Cougars fired 18 shots on the Winnipeg net while Eric Reid faced 34 shots.

On Sunday, Owen Harris took an undeserved head contact penalty at 1:19 and Howie Hooker scored a power play goal at 2:08 to send coach Dennis McNish into a frenzy, which saw him being tossed from the game and receiving a two-game suspension.

The Wild continued to dominate for the 6-0 win. Carson Cherepak turned aside 37 shots for the shut-out while Kieran Stewart turned aside 26 Wild shots.

The Cougars travel to Interlake Friday night and will face the Winnipeg Bruins Saturday night. Mark your calendar - the Cougars play in Boissevain on Dec. 6.
